What does the five hour timer mean?

Where a provider reports a five hour window, the Ready Queue shows “5h reset” and a countdown to its reported reset time. Other windows keep their own labels. An elapsed timer means check usage again. A missing reset stays “Reset not reported.” The countdown does not mean the widget has fetched a new usage measurement.

Add a widget on Mac

  1. Open HOUR5, connect an account and refresh its usage.
  2. Control click the desktop and choose Edit Widgets.
  3. Find HOUR5, choose a layout and add it.
  4. Use the widget’s edit options to select accounts where available.

The in app widget gallery explains the layouts. Placement is managed through the macOS widget gallery. If you also see HOUR5 iPhone entries, those are widgets shared from your phone through Apple’s Continuity feature.

Add a widget on iPhone

  1. Open HOUR5 and confirm that your accounts and usage appear.
  2. Touch and hold the Home Screen, then open the widget gallery through Edit or the add button.
  3. Search for HOUR5, choose a layout and add it.
  4. Edit the widget if you want to choose specific accounts.

Why does a widget say update needed?

Widgets read a locally shared snapshot. They do not carry provider credentials or continuously poll providers. A stale or unavailable reading needs an app refresh. Open HOUR5, check the connection and refresh. Synced data can still depend on the device that originally connected the provider. Learn how device connections and sync differ.
