An AI usage tracker for your next coding session.

HOUR5 brings reported AI account usage windows and reset times into a native Mac and iPhone experience. It is in development and is not yet available on the App Store.

Why usage visibility matters

When an AI tool is part of your workflow, knowing how much reported allowance remains can help you decide what to tackle next. A visible reset time gives you context for planning a coding session, reviewing work or taking a break. Tracking does not create extra capacity or guarantee uninterrupted work.

What HOUR5 does

On Mac, HOUR5 is being developed as a menu bar companion with an account overview. It presents usage observations supplied by connected sources rather than inventing quotas. The native iPhone app can display synced observations, and native widgets offer a glance at locally shared usage snapshots.

Which providers are supported?

Codex and Gemini usage have been exercised on Mac, with synced observations displayed on iPhone. Claude tracking uses optional usage reports on Mac. Direct Claude sign in is unavailable under the provider’s current connection rules. Other connection flows remain in testing. Provider sign in, usage reporting and account switching are separate capabilities.

Mac, iPhone and widget freshness

Optional cloud sync shares usage observations across your HOUR5 account. AI provider credentials are not synced. Widgets read local shared snapshots and depend on the app syncing and the operating system refreshing them. A displayed observation may be older than the provider’s current usage.

What HOUR5 does not do

HOUR5 does not increase or bypass provider limits. Missing measurements stay unavailable. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with OpenAI or other AI providers. Pricing and a release date have not been announced.
